Katy is executive director of the Segelman Trust and a senior associate of Greenwood Place.
Katy worked as one of three senior grant-makers for the Robertson Foundation in New York focusing on a broad range of issues, including education, international development, wildlife conservation and leadership development. She also managed the Aotearoa Foundation, an affiliated foundation investing in transformative education, environmental and medical research in New Zealand. Previously she worked as programme director for The Sir Peter Blake Trust in New Zealand and on her return to the UK in 2015, she joined the literacy charity, First Story as head of development, where she continues to work.
After a brief foray into the energy sector on graduation, Katy began her career in the not-for-profit sector in the Royal Household, where she spent six years as research assistant and then as Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall. As a researcher, Katy focused on education and youth opportunity, responsible business and environment. As a private secretary, she focused on developing The Duchess of Cornwall's portfolio of patronages and initiatives following her marriage to The Prince of Wales.
